An event and scholarship just for Quaker students
Would you like to experience what it would be like to be a Friends University student? If you are a Quaker student, join us during Quaker Heritage week for a special virtual visit on April 16. You can take a virtual tour, attend Chapel and talk with current Quaker students.
As a member of the Quaker Church family, you will also be eligible to apply for the new RISE Scholarship. The RISE Scholarship is available to Friends University applicants meeting the requirements as listed.

Apply for the RISE Scholarship
The RISE scholarship covers full undergraduate tuition (up to 18 credit hours per semester for four years through a combination of federal, state and institutional aid sources) given to a first time student belonging to a Quaker Church Family who embodies the values of Friends University: Respect, Inclusion, Service, and Excellence.
- Must show demonstrated need – Must be PELL eligible.
- Letter of recommendation required from your church ministry.
- Merit based. Must have at least a 3.2 GPA and a 21 ACT.
- Renewable for all four years with Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Scholarship combined with other institutional gift aid, federal gift aid and/or state gift aid will not go above the total cost of tuition.
- Must submit the RISE Scholarship application along with a 500-word essay describing how you have, in the past, and how you will continue in the future embody the Friends University values of Respect, Inclusion, Service and Excellence.
**Students not selected for the RISE Scholarship are eligible to receive many other great scholarship opportunities available at Friends University.
