1979 was dubbed “The Year of the Plan.” A Title III Grant had been funded at $548,000 as a result of that plan, the money to be disbursed over three years. The Title III Grant was intended for six things: curriculum improvement; improved management; innovative programs; student counseling services; extended services; and faculty development.
