Davis Building Gets a Facelift

With the Davis Building was showing its age, President Green and the Board of Trustees decided to restore the building so it could continue to serve as an historical landmark. As a result, the front steps were redone, the exterior walls were tuck-pointed, eroded mortar was restored, hundreds of bricks and limestone blocks were replaced. The tower was structurally strengthened, wood floors were replaced, the clock was reworked and made functional. The slate roof was replaced and interior wainscoting was updated. Additionally, classrooms were modernized and furniture was updated.
