Wichita, KS— Friends University is pleased to announce Rachel Steiner as the director of the new Center for Enterprise and Community Engagement. Steiner is a previously employed Falcon and returns to campus to lead the new efforts of community connection with the university.
Steiner received her BA in Mass Communications from Southwestern College and her Master of Science in Leadership and Management from Friends University. Steiner was a Program Representative and Director of Graduate and Professional Studies Recruitment for Friends University for ten years before becoming a Small Group Account Executive for Delta Dental.
“I am excited about integrating educational resources with community needs, and I envision this office as a hub for innovation and collaboration. I am eager to bring my strategic mindset, leadership skills, and commitment to community engagement to this role, helping to strengthen the university’s impact,” said Steiner.
With the center, Steiner will focus on providing students with education and agency-type experiential learning by offering resources, project assistance and business support to the non-profit and business community. Students will opt in to work with the center, gaining important knowledge and real-world experience.
