Brenda Smith has been teaching at Friends University since 1995. She primarily teaches math courses that support other majors. Her students in courses such as Statistics, Trigonometry, Business Calculus, and Algebra major in subjects that represent all divisions across campus. She also serves as the faculty advisor for the health management major, an interdisciplinary degree that combines science, business and physical education.
