Friends University College of Adult and Professional Studies announces new degree programs, reduced tuition

Friends University has embarked on a large scale expansion and improvement of the College of Adult and Professional Studies program that includes the addition of two new degree programs, enhancements to existing programs and a reduction in tuition fees for adult and professional students.

The two additional degree completion programs are Elementary Education and Psychology. Both degree completion opportunities will be available for Fall 2015 student registration.

The Friends University Fall 2015 catalog will also feature new concentration options in the Business Management and Computer Information Systems degree programs.

“The College of Adult and Professional Studies offers students multiple learning formats from evening classes to online classes as well as mixtures of both. Technology and enrollment have allowed us to invest in additional programs and improvements as well as cut costs and pass these savings on to current and prospective students,”  says David Hofmeister, Ed.D., interim dean of the College of Adult and Professional Studies and dean of the Graduate School.

Effective June 1, 2015, tuition costs per credit hour were reduced by 16% for students enrolled in the College of Adult and Professional Studies.

“Friends University was the first university in Kansas to offer an innovative adult education model,” says Hofmeister. “We remain committed to offering returning adults the degree programs they desire in formats and with pricing that make their degree completion personal and attainable.”

Friends University, a Christian University of Quaker heritage, equips students to honor God and serve others by integrating their intellectual, spiritual and professional lives.
