Friends University is pleased to announce that it has received Affiliate member status from the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU).
In awarding Affiliate status, CCCU noted that the Friends University mission and purpose fit well with the CCCU mission, and that “the mutual learning that would be garnered through collaboration with other CCCU members and affiliates would be a benefit to Friends University as well as to the CCCU as a whole.”
“As an institution of higher learning dedicated to providing a quality Christian higher education to all who desire it, Friends University is honored to receive this designation from the CCCU,” noted Interim President Dr. Darcy Zabel. Friends University Board Chair Dr. John Lewis stressed that the relationship with CCCU was unanimously supported by the full Board of Trustees. Dr. Lewis said, “We hope this announcement serves as a confirmation to our University family of the important connection between themselves and our Board as unified stewards of the University’s mission and purpose.”
As an Affiliate member Friends University will have access to CCCU’s programs and services, along with network and scholarly research on the integration of faith and learning.
