The Friends University Chamber Orchestra will present a concert on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 7:30 p.m., featuring the premiere performance of Lily of the Valley by Dan Racer.
In addition to the Racer, works by Ralph Vaughan-Williams, Aaron Copeland, Giovanni Bottesini, and Yuan Kai Bao will also be performed. Student bass soloist Renae Abdallah, will be featured on the Bottesini Bass concerto #2 in B minor, and faculty guests, Cindy Thompson, English Horn and Gary Leopold, Trumpet will be featured on Copeland’s Quiet City.
The performance will be held in Alumni Auditorium on Friends University Campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan., and is free and open to the public.
