Nine Friends University athletic programs have been given the distinction of NAIA Scholar-Team for the 2014-15 school year as announced by the national office Wednesday afternoon.
The average grade point average for the year for all varsity participants in a sport must be 3.0 or higher for a program to be honored.
Teams making the cut for the Falcons (team GPA):
- Men’s Cross Country (3.42)
- Men’s Track & Field (3.04)
- Men’s Tennis (3.50)
- Softball (3.24)
- Volleyball (3.50)
- Women’s Cross Country (3.22)
- Women’s Track & Field (3.21)
- Women’s Soccer (3.11)
- Women’s Tennis (3.37)
