The Friends University Singing Quakers will present the Symphony of Spring concert featuring the theme “Earth, Wind, Fire and Rain.” The performances will run Friday and Saturday, April 22-23, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 24, at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium.
This is the Singing Quakers’ final concert of the season celebrating the power of the elements. Broadway tunes old and new will be featured from such shows as Oklahoma, Children of Eden and Parade. Classics ranging from ‘”Stormy Weather” to “Captain of the Pinafore” are blended with modern favorites like “Colors of the Wind” and “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride.” Moving ballads, up-tempo dance numbers, and the majesty of a full orchestra and chorus will provide entertainment for the whole family.
All performances will take place in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Tickets are $16 for adults and $13 for seniors and students.
