Friends University will host the 2017 National History Day Kansas District 6 Competition Friday, Feb. 24, 2017. Approximately 300 high school and middle school students, together with their teachers and parents, will participate in the competition.
In addition to Friends University professors’ and students’ assistance with the event, more than 30 professors, historians, specialists and teachers will serve as judges from other universities, museums and schools in Wichita. This is the eighth year the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Friends University has hosted the event. This year’s theme is “Taking a Stand in History.”
