Friends University community orchestra to perform final concert of year

The Friends University Community Orchestra will present its spring concert Tuesday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium in the Riney Fine Arts Center.

“We will be featuring Miller Concerto Competition winner Elyssa Day on Weber’s Concertino for Clarinet,” said Dan Racer, conductor.

Additional selections include Borodin’s In the Steppes of Central Asia and Mendelssohn’s Fourth Italian Symphony.

Tickets are $11 for adults; $9 for students and seniors. The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium in Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
