Wichita, Kan. – Friends University Ballet and Wichita Ballet Theatre will host auditions for the annual 2017 Nutcracker on Friday, Sept. 15, & Saturday, Sept. 16. Auditions will take place at Friends University in Riney Fine Arts Ballet Studio.
The auditions are scheduled as follows:
- Experienced dancers ages 15 and up (with pointe experience): Friday, Sept. 15, 5-6 p.m.
- Boys (for the party scene) (no training required): Saturday, Sept. 16, 11 a.m. – noon
- Girls, ages 6-8 (training required): Saturday, Sept. 16, noon – 1 p.m.
- Girls, ages 9-14 (training required): Saturday, Sept. 16, 1-2:30 p.m.
- Adults: Saturday, Sept. 16, 2:30-3 p.m.
Rehearsals begin Oct. 21. Guest artists will be principal dancers from The New York City Ballet and the Denver Ballet. For more information on auditions, please call Stan Rogers at 316-295-5848.
