Wichita, Kan. – The first Community Orchestra concert of the semester will feature a variety of music. The performance will take place Halloween night, Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium in Riney Fine Arts Center.
The members of the orchestra will be dressed in Halloween costumes, and audience members are encouraged to dress up as well. Several selections will be presented, including Night on Bald Mountain by Mussorgsky, Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens and Fossils from Carnival of the Animals. A marimba concerto will feature Dr. Von Hansen, adjunct faculty of percussion at Friends University.
Ticket prices are $9 ¬¬¬for adults and $6 for students and seniors (60+). The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium in Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
