Wichita, Kan. – The Friends University Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Vocal Ensemble and both big bands will present a Jazz Meets Stevie Wonder concert Friday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium.
“The students will be dressed in outfits highlighting the 1960s and ’70s periods of Stevie’s career,” said Lisa Hittle, director of jazz. “This concert will have some special surprise guests, fun music, crazy outfits and a party atmosphere!”
Patrons who dress up in a Stevie Wonder-inspired outfit (from the ’60s or ’70s era) will receive free admission at the box office.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors (60+). The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium in Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
