Friends University offers the 17th most affordable master’s in health care administration program in 2018. TopMastersInHealthcare.com ranked Friends University’s online Master of Health Care Leadership (MHCL) program at No. 17 in the nation, and Friends University’s program is the only Kansas program listed in the top 30.
This ranking follows a previous ranking that placed Friends University’s MHCL program at No. 19 in the nation among online health care management master’s degree programs, as assessed by TheBestColleges.org.
“The consistently high rankings for our MHCL program demonstrate the quality of this program and the level of leadership preparation our students receive,” said Dr. David Hofmeister, dean of the College of Adult and Professional Studies and the Graduate School. “Combining our quality-based rankings with this most recent ranking for affordability demonstrates that our MHCL program is a great value for prospective students wishing to advance into executive and leadership positions in the health care industry.”
The MHCL degree began in 2008 as an on-campus program and an online option was added in 2010. The degree prepares students for a variety of health care industry leadership positions and covers a wide range of subjects, including management, leadership, law/ethics and marketing. Students come from a variety of health care areas, including allied health, emergency medical services, health care administration, hospital non-nursing, nursing and pharmaceutical.
