Wichita, KS- Friends University adjunct professor Dr. Von Hansen will perform a percussion recital March 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center.
He will perform a faculty recital with guest artists Great Plains Percussion Group. The first half of the program will be a set of proven master works like Jacob Druckman’s “Reflections on the Nature of Water” and fresh works including a piece for vibraphone and electronics.
Great Plains Percussion Group will join Dr. Hansen for the second half of the program to perform music by Steve Reich, John Cage and an original composition by Dr. Hansen titled “Ad Astra.”
This recital will take place in Sebits Auditorium on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. The event is free and open to the public.
