Wichita, Kan. – Friends University will host a gallery reception featuring local artist Matthew Miller. The reception will take place in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery in Riney Fine Arts Center Aug. 31 from 5-7 p.m.
A frequent open air painter, Matthew Miller currently lives and works in Hays. He graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an emphasis in painting. Previously, Matthew earned a B.A. in History of Art from the University of Kansas.
“My current goal is to represent our everyday relationships with the landscape through creative equilibrium of color,” Miller said.
The show will be on display until Sept. 22.
The reception will take place in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery in Riney Fine Arts Center at Friends University, 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita. The reception is free and open to the public.
