Wichita, KS – On Monday, Nov. 5, the Concert Band will present its fall concert at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center at Friends University.
Trombonist Dr. Irvin Wagner will be featured at the concert. Dr. Wagner is the professor of trombone at the University of Oklahoma. A recognized conductor and trombone artist, Dr. Wagner can frequently be heard and seen in various corners of the world as a conductor, trombonist or teacher.
This activity resulted in him being “The Most Listened to Trombonist in the World in the ’80s” as he was heard by more than a quarter of the population of the earth. This came about through his public performances in more than 30 countries and especially through a television special in China viewed by over 600 million people and a radio recital in India listened to by 500 million people.
Tickets for the concert are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.
