Friends to host GM-Financial Global Footprint presentation and networking event

Friends University’s Global MBA program and Graduate Recruitment will host a Global Trade presentation April 4 featuring Jim Nagy. Nagy is the executive vice president of GM Financial-International Operations and a 1997 Friends University graduate. He will share his thoughts and experiences from years of working in many global environments. Nagy has been employed by General Motors for more than 38 years and has held various leadership positions on multiple continents. He also serves on the Friends University Board of Trustees.

Nagy has been invited to speak by Dr. Valentina Chappell, professor of business and technology and program director of the Global MBA program.

“We are blessed to have Jim talk with us given his vast experience working in many different cultures and overseas locations,” Dr. Chappell said. “His insights will be helpful to a new generation which will be working in an environment of globalized business as well as to seasoned business people who have been dealing with international markets for a long time.”

The event begins April 4 with a welcome reception at 5:30 p.m. The presentation will follow at 6 p.m. in the Olive White Garvey Business and Technology Building, Room 100.
