Wichita, KS – The Friends University Singing Quakers will present the annual Symphony of Spring concert featuring the theme A Wonderful World. Disney favorites, pop standards and Broadway tunes from around the world will feature shows ranging from Sound of Music and Westside Story to Aladdin and The Lion King. Moving ballads, up-tempo dance numbers and the majesty of a full orchestra and chorus make this a hit for the whole family.
The performance involves over 100 students and has been a tradition for more than 50 years.
“The outstanding music in Symphony of Spring gives the audience everything from roaring laughter to chilled amazement,” said Singing Quakers performer Tucker Tasker, junior.
The performances will run Friday and Saturday, April 26-27, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
Tickets for adults are $16; children, students and seniors are $13. Tickets can be purchased by calling Friends University at 316-295-5677 or visiting friends.edu/finearts.
