Wichita, KS – The Friends University Flute Choir will present “Fall, Friends and Flutes: A Celebration” Monday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
The flute choir is comprised of ten talented students and community members.
“Fall, Friends and Flutes: A Celebration” concert will include a variety of repertoire from Bach, to rag, to pop. It will also highlight the flute’s extended family- piccolo, c flute, alto and bass flute. The instrumentation for each piece in the program is slightly different yet still representative of the beautiful sound a flute choir produces.
“We are excited to also feature a vocalist, guitarist and percussionist, adding their own voice to the musical celebration. It will be a free concert you won’t want to miss,” said director, Amy Hoffman.
The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Tickets are free, and the recital is open to the public.
