Wichita, KS – Friends University’s 60-voice Singing Quakers choir will present their Home Concert March 28 at 7:30 p.m. and March 29 at 2 p.m.
The theme of the spring concert is Joy. “The Singing Quakers will present music that is meant to both lighten and strengthen your spirit,” said Dr. Dale Heidebrecht. “Songs centered on jubilation, celebration and praising God.”
Selections from the concert will be woven together with joyful prose and poetry extracted from Walt Whitman’s poem, A Song of Joys. As always, the concert will conclude with When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.
The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.
