Wichita, KS – The Friends University Singing Quakers will present the Symphony of Spring concert featuring the theme Show People April 23-25. The show has been a Wichita favorite for more than 50 years.
Disney favorites, pop standards and Broadway tunes from around the world will feature shows ranging from Les Misérables, Bye Bye Birdie, and Curtains to Frozen, The Wiz, and much more. Moving ballads, up-tempo dance numbers, orchestra and a full chorus make this a hit for the whole family.
“The Symphony of Spring performance is by far a crowd favorite. As a Singing Quaker senior, I am thrilled to be able to perform the show, once again, in front of a live audience,” said Singing Quakers performer Emily Son.
The performances will run Friday and Saturday, April 23-24, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 25, at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
Considering the hardships the pandemic has brought the community, all performances for the season are free of charge. Livestream and in-person tickets still need to be reserved at Friends.edu/fineartstickets.
