Friends University is pleased to announce the promotions of Dr. Brent Yoder to the role of Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Victor Rogers to Director of Institutional Research effective April 1.
Dr. Yoder’s background and experience in higher education align with the mission at Friends University. In his new role as Associate Vice President, he will oversee the Academic Resource Center and ADA Services along with his continued work in compliance, accreditation, assessment and academic support.
Dr. Yoder holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry and Future Professoriate from Virginia Tech, a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Business Administration from Eastern Mennonite University and an Associate of Arts in Chemistry from Hesston College. He currently is a Peer Reviewer at the Higher Learning Commission and previously held positions as the Associate Academic Dean and Professor of Chemistry at Friends University; Vice President of Academics and Registrar at Hesston College; Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Illinois College; and Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Greenville College.
Victor Rogers’ role as the Director of Institutional Research will collect, analyze, report and keep records of data regarding the students, faculty, staff, curriculum, courses and learning outcomes at Friends University.
Rogers holds a Master of Education in Secondary Education and Teaching from Newman University, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education from Tabor College and has completed 18 hours of graduate-level mathematics classes at Emporia State University. His previous positions include Institutional Research Analyst at Friends University and High School Mathematics teacher at Sublette High School.
