On September 14, 2023, Friends University celebrated 125 years of history with a special ceremony that included greetings from Dr. Carey, Dr. James Bryan Smith, Board Chair, Dr. Thayne Thompson and special virtual greetings from Sen. Roger Marshall and Sen. Jerry Moran. The celebration also premiered a new video documentary that showcased stories from former President, Dr. Biff Green, former President, Dr. Richard Felix and current President, Dr. Carey, among other key stakeholders. After the ceremony, guests took special tours of the new Mechanical Engineering and Visual Arts Labs while getting a first glance at the newly unveiled timeline wall that was installed on the first floor of the Davis Administration Building.
