Wichita, KS – Friends University is excited to announce the upcoming opera performance of The Gondoliers, Nov. 18-20, 2022.
The Gondoliers is a story of love, kidnapping and switched identities. It is an entertaining and boisterous story considered the last great success of the famous theatrical duo, Gilbert and Sullivan.
“This promises to be a wonderful production of great music and typical Gilbert and Sullivan comedy performed by an outstanding cast of singers,” said directors Rolaine Hetherington and Dr. Matt Schloneger. “You will want to make it a point to join us on this journey to Barataria!”
The production will feature an orchestra conducted by Music Director, Dr. Matthew Schloneger.
The performance will take place Nov. 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium in the Riney Fine Arts building on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
